Welcome back to The Operating List! Today our specialty is General Surgery and joining us we have Dr Markus Trochsler. Dr Trochsler gained specialist recognition in General Surgery in Switzerland (FMH) and Australia (FRACS). He is the Head of the Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Director of Surgical Training. Dr Trochsler has published in excess of thirty research publications and has attracted competitive research grants of more than $4m. In 2020, he performed the first PIPAC procedure for gastric cancer in Australia. Make sure to tune in to hear about General Surgery and studying or working overseas this week on The Operating List!
