Did you know that cataract comes from the Latin word cataracta meaning waterfall? Tune in as our special guest Dr Rahul Chakrabarti talks us through some of the important aspects of cataract surgery.
Dr Rahul Chakrabarti is a trained general ophthalmologist who completed his medical training at Monash University in Melbourne. He went on to train at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital with additional sub-specialty training in strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology. He has also completed a Masters of Surgical Education at the University of Melbourne where he is now a clinical lecturer.
He is passionate about education about ophthalmology and teaches registrars as well as medical students. He has a vast range of experience working both in metro and rural environments and I can think of no one better to introduce us to ophthalmology and talk us through some of the important aspects of cataract surgery.
