Pride is most commonly revealed through arrogance and being conceited but sometimes it sneaks up on us in other forms like self-degradation. When we compare ourselves to others there is a part of us that believes we should be better than them and so we spiral into self-demotion. Proverbs 16:18 tells us that pride is destructive but how can we free ourselves completely of its shackles?
