Ahhh... well, the title speaks for itself.
We are not perfect. Let the truth bomb sink in, lol.
Being Christian does not make you..."perfect".
For those of us who have chosen to follow Jesus, we are still prone to sickness, sin and life, lifing at us.
There's not some special immunity that a believer has to life and the imperfections thereof. Trust me, it would be nice if there were.
So, where does that leave us? What advantage is there then to following Jesus if there are no perfections to be obtained in the here and now?
What we have, as Jesus followers...are His many promises!
1 Corinthians 1:20 in the Amplified Bible says this:
20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God.
So, we may not have "perfection" in this life...but I'd take God's guaranteed promises over perfections, any day of the week!

P.S. Oh, BTW...you're going to see just how imperfect things go around here on The On God Podcast as Lucy's mic falls off the mic stand at one point and then the fire alarm in her building goes off as we were finishing the episode, LOL.
