On this episode of The nomadic Outdoorsman Dan talks with fellow Sportsmen’s Empire podcaster and host of Pennsylvania Woodsman Podcast Mitchell Shirk about his love for podcasting, hunting and habitat.Mitchell has been tagging along on hunting trips since he was 4 years old. Around 10 he was able to start hunting himself. He would hunt and fish for anything with an open season but as time went on he started to focus on archery hunting whitetail deer and PA big game. Mitchell grew up hunting a 280 acre private land tract where he learned about quality deer management and property manipulation. He also got into hunting large tracts of mountainous public land in northern PA. His goal is to learn as much as possible each year, and help share his experiences with as many people as possible.Mitchell went to school for Biology and got a B.S. in Ecology w/ Minor in Environmental Science. He is currently an Agronomist at a private agricultural consulting company called Rosetree Consulting in Southeast Pennsylvania.
