Episode Synopsis
In our final episode of the 1970s we begin by acknowledging some "new" music from The Beatles and an upstart band that goes by the name of The Rolling Stones. Any discussion of 1979 must begin by acknowledging Disco Demolition night. (My parents had that 8-track.)Of course, this being The New Dad Rock we also posit how the darkness of inflation and high-profile serial killers informed the inception and subsequent popularity of Soiuxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, The Cure and goth in general. And how does Death From Above 1979 fit into all of this?Tune in and find out!Let us know what’s up. Support the showDid you know that The New Dad Rock has swag?
