In 2015 Joeli founded Pregnant Then Screwed, after being fired by her employer just two days after telling them she was pregnant. Pregnant Then Screwed is a charity dedicated to ending the motherhood penalty and supports thousands of women each year. Alongside her campaign work, Joeli is an author, an Amnesty International Human Rights Defender and a member of the United Nations Working Group: Women’s Human Rights in the Changing World of Work.
