Episode Synopsis "Episode 2 [En] Alan Gregory - Delegations for Dialogue"
At age 28, Alan has already made a lifelong impact to hundreds of students who had the heart and curiousity to pay attention to visit a part of the world that people have little information to beyond what they see on from media outlets. Bridging the world through dialogue, Delegations for Dialogue (DfD) provides future generations of leaders the opportunity to engage directly with issues at the heart of international affairs. Since 2015, DfD has engaged with 148+ students, academics and professors in informed dialogue on a wide-range of topics, traveling to places such as the DRPK (North Korea), Lebanon, and Iran. In 2016, I had the opportunity to meet Alan, and join him on one of the North Korea trip at the last minute. I had serious doubts about the risk that I’d put myself, but I come back a fuller person, and I thank myself that I get to unlearn what I’ve seen from the media. In this podcast, Alan and I will talk about the motivation behind founding Delegations for Dialogue, how it has impacted hundreds of students, and the longer term goal that he wants to drive.
