Listen "Randy Johnson to Join Elite Company"
Episode Synopsis
Randy Johnson goes for win 300 again today. Due to the rainout yesterday, he was unable to seal the deal.Arguably, the most dominant left-hander in the history of the game, Johnson will join only five other left-handed pitchers with 300 or more wins (they include: Warren Spahn, Steve Carlton, Ed Plank, Tom Glavine, Lefty Grove). Is there really any question that today is the day? Does anyone really think that Randy Johnson won’t nail number 300? I mean, on a bad day, I could pitch up a win against the Nationals. Watch out Randy! Those Nationals are gunning for you with their amazing 14-36 record.Sure, San Francisco dropped the first game of the series (10-6), but I don’t think so much that Washington won it as much as I think that San Francisco lost it. Besides, who pitched the first game? Not The Big Unit.
