Listen "#95. Sarah Hallatt: body image, photo shoots, and why women should be lifting weights"
Episode Synopsis
Today I’m sharing the mic with Sarah Hallatt. Sarah is a mum of 2 girls, works full time, trains 5 days a week, tracks her macros and competes in natural bodybuilding. After spending several years struggling with her weight and negative body image, she found her way into the gym and has never looked back. In this episode, we chat about body image flexibility, the challenges of a contest prep, why it’s so important for women to lift weights, and also why it’s ok to take up space and ok to feel and look and be strong, rather than always training to shrink ourselves to fit a certain stereotype. Deep conversations aside, this was a really fun episode to record, and I hope it’s one that you enjoy and also can perhaps take something from if you’re a mum on your own health and fitness journey.
