Episode Synopsis

WELCOME TO THE MWSA PODCAST FOR WEDNESDAY, NOV 27th
US President-elect Donald Trump is firing the first shot it what could turn into a significant trade war between the States, Canada and Mexico, when earlier this week he stated that his first order of business will be to impose a 25% tariff on all goods coming into his country. What sort of an impact would such a move have on Calgary and Alberta’s economy? We get the thoughts of Ruhee Ismail-Teja - Vice President, Policy & External Relations at the Calgary Chamber.
Next - more offices are hosting Christmas parties these days than a few years back - so we thought it might be a good time to remind both employees AND the companies they work for - what they should do to make sure that once it’s over, everyone is talking about it for all the right reasons! We get some holiday party “dos and dont’s” from Olivia Cicchini, HR and Legal expert at Peninsula Canada.
And finally - as hobbies go, ant-farming is one of the more unique pastimes you could take up - and it’s growing in popularity these days thanks in part to popular YouTube channels like “AntsCanada”. We learn about this ‘dynamic’ hobby from Dr. James Glasier, Ecologist from the “Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo”.
