Listen "Transitioning to a low carbon future"
Episode Synopsis
March 19,2021 (pre-recorded 3/15/21): Vermont's largest contributions to greenhouse gases are transportation and heating. But, how do we transition a small rural state like Vermont to a low carbon energy system while also supporting businesses, residents, and working with existing infrastructure? Matt Cota joins today's conversation. Cota's grandparents founded Cota & Cota which specializes in home heating, cooling, and plumbing services. He is also the Executive Director of the Vermont Fuel Dealers Association (VFDA). A portion of our conversation included finding jobs and apprenticeships in Vermont's energy sector. Cota wants folks to know that anyone interesting in learning more about job or training opportunities can find information at the VDFA website: vermontfuel.com. Theme music by Red Heart the Ticker.
