Episode Synopsis "Episode 2: Part 2 - Savings & Investments"
In this episode we continue the conversation with Masonwabe Tshobonga. We look at the trending question on South African social media as of late as to whether you should buy Sasol shares or not. We take on an in-depth analysis of Sasol’s performance over the last year and I must say things get heated up when we really get to rigorously discuss macro-economic factors, industry factors, trade tensions between the US and China as well as the Brent Crude oil price drop and their effect on Sasol’s share price. We also briefly highlight the various options one can use to start investing which is ETFs and how they work. We wrap things up by discussing rating agency Moody's announcement to downgrade South Africa’s (SA’s) sovereign rating into junk status and what this means for the average consumer. Lastly, my guest and I share a bit on what factors we look at when choosing which sectors to invest in and why.
