Episode Synopsis

On this episode we welcome Gareth Addidle into the studio.  A Lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Plymouth University. Gareth tells us what it was like growing up in the 90s in a small town on the outskirts of Belfast,  Northern Ireland. His daily fears of terrorism from the IRA and what it was like growing up and interacting in a Protestant / Catholic Community. We talk about his time playing Professional football for his club and country as a junior and his involvements in football and coaching up to the present day. We discuss how ever increasingly difficult it is as a junior to become a Professional Footballer in the U.K and talk about the BT Sports Film, No Hunger In Paradise. Gareth discusses with  us the differences between Police forces in Scotland to the Southwest U.K and explains to us in depth his new research into The Football Mill......
