Dr Stella Iacovides is a member of the Brain Function Research Group, and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Physiology, University of the Witwatersrand. Her PhD research focused on a clinical pain population, specifically women with dysmenorrhoea. She studied how repetitive menstrual pain impacts on physiological health, including sleep, mood, and quality of life. Among other studies, Post-PhD, Dr. Stella has conducted research on the interaction between Nutrition and Sleep, Cognitive function and pain.
