This advent season, we’ll be looking at four different Biblical characters: Abraham, Sarah, Isaac and Hagar. In the chapters of Genesis 12-22, we find a breadth of human experience, ranging from doubt and belief, to trust and uncertainty, to fear and reassurance. In this season, we’ll celebrate the Biblical value of “waiting,” focusing not only on what’s coming, but on who we’re becoming along the way. God has things to teach us and is working in the “in-betweens” of life. As we’ll see in this message as we look at the story of Abraham, he is the God who “always keeps his promises.”
