Listen "#06 | Ben McGlynn"
Episode Synopsis
For all the glory and fame elite sport can bring, it can also be just as cruel and unforgiving. Former AFL player and St Kilda Football Club assistant coach Ben McGlynn knows that better than most. After 171 games between Hawthorn and Sydney, he experienced more heartbreak on the main stage than so many others lucky enough to play the great game of Aussie Rules. McGlynn missed out on two Premierships and lost the additional two he played in, but his resilience in weathering through the dark times has helped mould him into the person, father and family man he is today. Although still carrying the pain of the past with him, the way he has helped those around him as a coach speaks volumes of his character.
