It isn't simply powerful because of all that it promises to bring us.. But it is powerful in the sense that it helps us to understand how the Universe brings to us what it does... as we are actually ready for what the journey holds... in order to give us what we want... To clarify... We DO NOT get what we want ... ( which is how most traditional affirmations are egoically presented to us) We get WHO WE ARE BEING....   So this means that depending on what we are affirming.. or what we have been affirming in our head.. We may need to go on a journey through contrast in order to make choices that represent what the person we need to be in order to get what we want would do...  In other words.. If we are not the person right now who is the person that is attracting and creating what we are affirming we want.....  Then we have to become the person who is... and this could mean quite a bit of letting go, releasing and "suffering" to the ego that has been identified as little limited "YOU" for so long... So this is where the "Be careful what you wish for" comes from ... Not as a threat... But as an absolute truth of how the Universe delivers what we say we want.. It will all make sense inside!
