What We Learned
1. Focus on your health.
Sam was burnt out and not in a good place. One of the things he decided to do was focus on his health. He started exercising more and paying more attention to nutrition. As a result, he gained more mental clarity and became more disciplined.
2. Talk with people about what's going on with you.
Sam discovered two benefits to talking with people about moving to Portland. The first is that he gained wisdom. The other was that he gave people the opportunity to join you in what you're doing.
3. The church is better when we work together.
There is a tendency in most churches to not work together on things. However, Sam has found that there are many benefits for churches to work together. They can offer support and help when you need it and in turn you can do the same.
