1. Think like a consumer, not a staff member.
It's tempting to think that everyone may like what we like, but that's not the case. We can also think that people know as much as we do and understand more than they really do. Whenever you are getting ready to do something think like your audience. They are the ones who you're going after.
2. Create memorable experiences by breaking people's expectations.
Figure out how you can exceed people's expectations. On social media, look for ways to create 1-on-1 moments instead of 1 to all. Phil said that for a night of worship they asked what songs people wanted them to play and then took some of those songs and created a video for them on social media.
3. Know what your brand is.
Your brand is more than your logo. Your brand is not what you say about you, it's about what others say about you. If you want to know what your brand is ask people what brought them to your organization and what keeps them there.
