Listen "19. Hope Recipe - Resilience after a suicide loss - Sitting with Julia Broglie"

Episode Synopsis

I sit with Julia Broglie founder of Broglie Box started in memory of her brother Justin Broglie, who she lost to suicide in 2014.  We talk about resilience after a suicide loss. We share stories about Justin and his kindness, and how his memory lives on through her work and the work of many others. I met Justin briefly in 2014 during the Wisdom 2.0 conference in San Francisco.  We talk about how he spread kindness through free hugs and dancing in public with strangers. We talk about grief, anxiety, depression and survivors guilt. We discuss the importance of vulnerability and sharing how we feel with people. Julia shares her journey of mental health with us and how she did not get the resources she needed when she was suffering. That is why she created Broglie Box which sends thoughtfully curated care packages with products, tools, and resources for mental wellness and stress relief. She wanted to find a way to help others who may be struggling. We want everyone who receives a BroglieBox to feel empowered in their health, feel less alone, and know that there are resources available to feel better. She shares how she practices resilience and what she has learnt so far to help with taking care of her mental health. Sit down with us to listen to us share about hope and resilience during pain, and immense suffering.
