Aubrey Hopkins, a Billings, Montana native created a one acre sunflower field in the heart of Billings in 2023 after noticing a need for more outdoor activities and places for people to gather. Last year, she hosted Billings’ first Sunflower Festival and after witnessing the community’s overwhelming support and excitement, she plans to
grow the field and add more events to bring more people together. During our conversation, Aubrey shared how she sees her community and her ideas to improve it. She also talks about her journey into her own community project and how it has helped her grow personally and contributed to her vision for a better place for her and her family.
