In this bitesize episode, which I recorded while out on my run, I talk about why you should start a savings habit.Having savings will give you peace of mind and will allow you to have choices and take advantage of opportunities as they arise. The last year has shown us that there is a need to have an emergency fund that we can fall back on if we need to and perhaps its shown that the emergency fund needs to be more than just a couple of months worth of outgoings. Being able to save now will also help you prepare for a future when you start to look to work less and enjoy life more. Commonly this is seen as the standard retirement age however, it doesn't have to be.
