In this series, we are diving into the book of 1 Corinthians.  By the time we finish the book of Acts, the church has experienced great hardship, but it has also flourished, grown, and expanded in seeking to fulfill its vision as witnesses to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  By the time we get to the church in Corinth, we quickly find that the beautiful foundation that was laid in the church has shifted, and the church is experiencing division, disagreement, sin, brokenness within itself. In an unfiltered manner, Paul addresses these dynamics while calling the church to something greater.  The prayer throughout this sermon series is that we see that the church is messy, requires vulnerability, requires humility and courage, and ultimately must be built on Jesus Christ alone if it is going to grow into who God has called it to become.   To learn more about The Journey, connect with leadership, and for resources visit us at www.thejourney.org
