On today's episode of the Music Minute, I make a case that Billie Holiday’s song "Strange Fruit" is the most haunting song of all time. Here are the lyrics:

Southern trees bear a strange fruit
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root

Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees

Pastoral scene of the gallant south
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth
