"Warna" is the first recording on Verve for Joey Alexander, and it stretches the genre and gives you a taste of everything that the sound of the piano can offer.
Joey Alexander is currently on tour, so he is only able to give me 15 minutes on the phone, so we are going to make the best of it.
I assume everyone knows that Joey is only 16 years old. He is a prodigy with an amazing gift, so I am nervous and excited to interview him. Warna is a great album, don’t be fooled by his youth, Joey is really bringing it here. I am predicting a 2021 Grammy Award Nomination with this recording.
