Listen "1.4 Lydia Bolton from Lydia Bolton.com"
Episode Synopsis
On this episode, I speak to London based sustainable fashion designer, Lydia Bolton.
Lydia, who created her namesake brand in 2019, felt compelled to create fashion in a way that didn’t harm the environment.
Using second-hand clothing sourced from thrift stores and unsellable items in charity stores, Lydia turns unwanted garments and reconstructs them into innovative new womenswear designs.
In 2021 Lydia collaborated with Reebok, teaching a Starting Sustainable Lesson as part of their Write Your Legacy Campaign. She has also been featured on WGSN, the leading trend forecasting platform, as an influencer to watch.
In 2020, Bolton was featured in Miss Vogue as a Girl on a Mission, in Euro News as a designer fighting waste and collaborated with NICCE creating a collection from their dead-stock clothing.
