This is the tale of an unlikely hero. It is the true story based upon historical fact. I have taken the creative liberty to add detail and circumstance to the narrative in order to provide what I feel is appropriate context and a plausible back-story. The primary characters all contributed to the making of the primary storyline. I have added background locations, characters and situations in order to move the plot and provide elements of information necessary, I trust, that create the overall feel of the time, locations and dates in which they took place. The format will be to publish one chapter per week of approximately 10-15 minutes each, depending on where an opportune break in the script allows. I am doing this for a couple of reasons, one, and by far the most important, is that by reading the script aloud in a recording environment, it helps me to see and hear lines of dialogue, character traits, descriptions and details previously considered final. I found it an amazing creative journey to transpose the script to the spoken word format (without the use of AI) and have made several revisions as a direct result. Second is the pragmatic. It has long been the vision to first create a trailer of the screenplay in order to have another tool with which to attract production funding for the feature. After the viewing of "They Shot the Piano Player" here at the HLT, I was so impressed by the animation used that the thought of a similar approach hit me like a ton of bricks. "It might be a great way to market the story using  a read as compared to trying to get into the right room via the more traditional methods", the bricks said upon landing on my head. Hummmmmm. Why not? What have we to lose? So here we are, launching another project. The successful timeline would then look something like this: Chapter One is released today. May 14, 2024. The current revision of the screenplay is 128 pages. Chapter One took me to page 7. I am estimating that there will be approximately 20 chapters. Give or take. Twenty weeks takes us to the middle of September. At that time I will send the link to anyone, anywhere who might have a coat-tail connection to a producer or capitol investment group or even do it via crowdfunding. TBD. Maybe YOU know that someone?Am I worried about some unscrupulous use of my IP? The screenplay of the same name is under copyright protection from the USPTO at the Library of Congress.
