Listen "A Death Doula's Journey to Spread 'Death Positivity'"
Episode Synopsis
Laura Lyster-Mensh, a death doula, has partnered with the Congressional Cemetery to provide death education and awareness work to the community. Her activities, which are hosted every Saturday morning, are designed to encourage positive thinking about death and help individuals plan for their end-of-life care. Laura's work includes events such as "Write Your Own Obituary" and a game called Death Deck, which initiates conversations about death and allows individuals to learn more about each other's wishes. Through her work, Laura hopes to change the way society views death and help individuals live their lives to the fullest until the end.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-hip-senior-business-edition.
