This episode is based on a statistic in the Edelman studies on Trust. Do you know that 67% of people choose not to trust unless given a reason to?
For me, this statistic explains so much about the hostility we feel in our modern world. 2/3rd's of the population chooses not to trust. 
This leads to judgement, projection, othering, polarization and negativity, all of which severely dampen our human spirits.
