My first exposure to this concept came from Marcus Buckingham's "Now, Discover Your Strengths" over 20 years ago. I was fascinated by his "Trombone Player Wanted" videos that came alongside the book.

Today, Patrick Lencioni is sweeping the development world by helping people to better understand the power of working in their "Genius".

The concept has been traditionally lost on many - the ones that believe the route to our potential is through plugging the holes of weakness.

Yes, those holes deserve some attention. But surprisingly little in the grand scheme of things.

The more effective and impactful route to our redemptive potential, to our meaningful impression on the world around us, is through our strengths. By singing the notes we've been designed to sing. By developing, and stewarding well, our Genius.
