Jenny and Alex met with Mike Westwick and Chris Yeremiy to learn about quality emergency preparedness and response. We learned that emergency preparedness includes mentoring, planning, communicating honestly, honouring evidence and experience in any form, and collaborating with other jurisdictions, and organizations. The key to preparedness is looking for evidence from experts, planning for the worst, and communicating broadly to all possible affected.
