Burnout is a very real topic that keeps popping up all over social media. Everyone is mentioning that we need to avoid it. They mention that we need to prevent it. They mention we need to do more self-care to prevent it. Yes; yes to all of these things, but what is burnout? Why is it happening and what can we do to overcome it?
Over the last year, even while coaching the topic around avoiding burnout, I have learned that sometimes it is not avoidable. When certain life challenges arise, there are times that we will become more burnt out, emotionally and physically, than in other seasons. Our capacity changes, our minds change, our jobs change, and our personal life changes. One season, something that would not cause you burnout may end up causing you burnout.
In this episode, I am diving a little deeper into burnout - the what, the how, and the how-to grow past!
