Listen "Globetrottin' ADs - S3E6 - Finding, Retaining & Educating Coaches"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode Nick and Matt jump back into their series about the new NIAAA course LTC910. This time the focus is on our most valuable resource - Coaches!
Finding, retaining and education coaches are the three sections of the course and this podcast. Joining the podcast are the authors; Turner Neal the Director of Athletics at Concordia Int. School Shanghai and Chris Mott the Athletics Director at the International School Bangkok. The third course author is none other than Nick DeForest who tried to let the guests do the brunt of the talking.
No one can argue the importance of coaches on their program and student athletes and this course will give some advice on how to recruit coaches but then basically keep them happy and developing once you have them.
The guys talk about why finding coaches is such a concern. What its like finding coaches at their schools. How they are trying to keep their coaches happy. As well as what they think the biggest take away from their course will be.
After a word from our sponsors the group also talked about if and how they will be able to attend this year's National Athletic Directors Conference in Denver Colorado and before they go each guest talked about some of their favorite things in Shanghai and Bangkok.
Thank you to our sponsors; Kukri Sports and Coach Evaluator
