Listen "One year after the end of the Medicaid continuous enrollment provision"
Episode Synopsis
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government implemented a rule that prevented states from removing people from Medicaid. But following the end of the public health emergency at the end of March 2023, states began the eligibility redetermination process. Since then, more than 19 million people have lost their Medicaid or CHIP coverage. Jennifer Wagner, Director of Medicaid Eligibility and Enrollment at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, joins the podcast to talk more about what we’ve seen over the last year and what it could mean for future Medicaid policies. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
