Are you growing in your faith? As we continue this teaching on the book of Hebrews, Pastor Gene looks at chapter 5, and teaches on growing in our relationship with Christ. It is easy to confuse spiritual maturity with success, but maturity is not about what we do. It’s about who we become in Christ, and the plan God has for each of us. It’s not something we can borrow from our parents, or something we can just ignore because we listen to any spiritually mature teachers or pastors. Growing in maturity is an expectation of believers. We are called to teach one another, and the more we grow closer to Jesus, the more we will be trusted to steward here on earth. But growing in spiritual mature means completely rearranging of our priorities. We cannot grow closer to Jesus when we prioritize our jobs, our relationships, or our success before Him. Growing closer to Him is our first priority!
