About Karun Chandhok:
Karun Chandhok is the one of the only two Formula 1 drivers from India. Karun was a test driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team in 2007 and 2008, and then he went on to race in Formula 1 for Hispania Racing and Team Lotus in 2010 and 11. Since he began competing in sports car in 2012, Karun has also become the first Indian to ever compete in the iconic, Le Mans 24-hour race. Karun has been a regular driver and consultant, for the Williams Formula 1 team’s Heritage business, since 2016 and has competed at the Goodwood Revival, multiple times. He has also added, the Whitsun Trophy in the CanAM Mclaren in 2019 to his accolades. Karun has also built his reputation as a commentator and an analyst, for Formula 1 broadcast in the UK, since 2016 and is currently a part of the Sky Sports Formula 1 team, that gets broadcasted to 62 countries across the world.
Karun has done a special documentary called ‘Speed with Guy Martin’ and is also a regular on ‘Fifth Gear’ on Discovery-Quest and has made an appearance on Jeremy Clarksons’ film ‘Powered Up’. Karun’s accomplishments and work doesn’t end there. He works at a circuit design company, Driven International, and he looks into new circuit designs, upgrade of current circuits and the creation of manufacturer driving centers around the world.
