Episode Synopsis
Genelle Aldred is a journalist and communications expert who has worked for the likes of BBC, ITV and Sky. Her book, Communicate for Change, published in 2021, looked at how we communicate around social justice to move away from circular conversations and talk to solutions, because, after all, we all approach justice conversations with our biases, blind spots and lens of life. The modern world moves at unprecedented speed, and offers so many different sources of information that the way we consume our news has changed beyond recognition in the past decade. Is this trend likely to change? How can we be sure that we can trust what we read or hear? And what on earth will it be like to be a journalist in the future if this trend continues?
