Hey friend, November is National Adoption Awareness month so I thought it would be a good idea to get together with my friend Linda Felice, a Registered nurse and Mum to 3 girls, and shine some light on the facts around adoption in Australia and specifically in Queensland. We talk statistics, the process of adopting out your child, and we share some ideas on what we think could be done to improve that process to help more women with unwanted pregnancies, and more children to have a positive start in life. It’s a complicated issue and we know there are no quick answers and we don’t claim to have them all. But it was good to have this conversation and perhaps it will help toward shining a light on the topic of Adoption in our Nation and serve as a reminder that adoption is an option, for an unwanted pregnancy.
