Ario Bayu, born in Jakarta to Javanese parents spent most of his early days in the land of the sheeps, New Zealand. He is an Indonesian actor best known for his roles as Soekarno, Kala as Eros, Dead Mine as Captain Tino, and in the Hollywood production Java Heat as Lieutenant Hashim
He returned to Indonesia in 2004 with the intent to pursue his acting and music ambitions with his experience in Hamilton, New Zealand and studies at the globe theatre, London but the sad truth: no one really cared about his achievements during that period.
