Before leading the department, he spent five years as a rescue tool specialist, gaining valuable technical expertise in vehicle extrication. In addition to his local leadership, he currently serves as the Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs Association Volunteer Trustee, advocating for volunteer departments across the state.
