Volition is the chooser, the decider in your soul. Developing a FLOT line in your soul is positive volition. Negative volition is refusing to believe or learn the Word of God. Negative volition is also refusing to rebound a known sin. “If I regard inquiry in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” (Ps 66:18). If the Holy Spirit is quenched in your life by unconfessed sin, then there can be no faith perception because you’ve shut off the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit. Many Christians fall into negative volition by being distracted by the details of life.
