President Trump’s new 25% tariff on imported cars, starting April 3rd, threatens to jolt car prices skyward, though Tesla might dodge the worst of it. Rivian unveiled the luxurious RZ-1 SUV, a 400-mile-range beast with a solar twist, aiming to woo eco-elites for $95,000 a pop. Meanwhile, China’s BYD is sneaking past(?) tariffs by assembling their $20,000 Seagull Lite in Mexico, sparking Detroit’s ire and X’s meme machines.
