The situation become more tense when an Earth Force heavy cruiser arrives at the station to "protect Earth's interests", Captain Ellis Pierce and an alien race both lay claim to Epsilon III, the planet which Babylon 5 orbits. The fusion reactors on Epsilon 3 begins to act erratically, threatening to destroy the planet and Babylon 5. Meanwhile, the revolt on Mars continues, leading to many casualties.
