Listen "22 - Vendor Agnostic Managed Security"
Episode Synopsis
Most managed security solutions are built around a vendor’s own security products. For example, if you buy into one of the larger ecosystems, you’re expected to deploy their endpoint detection, their firewall and their SIEM. This approach creates a lock-in effect where the MSP has little choice but to standardise on that vendor’s stack, even if it means replacing tools that are already working well for clients. Vendor lock-in is one of the most common concerns for MSPs and enterprise IT leaders when evaluating managed security solutions. It can lead to higher costs, limited flexibility and an inability to adapt quickly to new threats. You can avoid vendor lock-in with a vendor-agnostic approach that lets you bring your existing stack instead of being forced into a product suite. Already invested in an EDR you like? You can keep it. Already using a vulnerability scanner or SIEM? No problem.
