Matthew 17.14-20



Jesus isn’t just important to Christianity, he is it, apart from him there is no way, no truth, and no life. Although all Christians claim to believe this, we often give ourselves over to practices, theologies, and ideologies that distract us from Jesus being all in all, unintentionally we put our faith in something less. It can be a denomination, it can be a technique, it can be a church, a pastor, a beloved teacher, or even a religious experience. Suddenly we find that our faith is not focused on Jesus but on something, else, something less. Once again we are reminded that it is only Jesus, and only faith in him that can deliver.
