Matthew 17.14-20



There have been many books written on baptism over the years, and even more debates about the proper mode, manner and meaning of baptism. Some have gone so far as to question the value of baptism in light of grace as a free gift, but today we want to look at one of the largest and most significant texts on baptism in the New Testament to unpack the significance and meaning of baptism, and in the process address the mode of baptism and the value of water baptism as both a command of Jesus and as a practice that is more than ritualistic.
