Episode Synopsis
In this episode, we introduce a new series on Truthfulness and explore how this often overlooked ideal is a fundamental building block for almost everything we do. Yet ironically, lying appears to be an unavoidable element of what it means to be human.
In this, the first of a three part conversation, we set the scene, exploring what a lie is, why people lie and the extent to which lying seems to be innate to every human being. This sets up future conversations where we'll discus what Jesus taught on this topic and why living truthfully seemed to be so important to him and then we round up the conversation discssing the practicality of actually living up to this ideal.
