Listen "10 | Being 100% Christian at Christmas with Emily JoAnn Haynes"
Episode Synopsis
Is it possible to be ecologically conscious participants in the season of Christmas amidst a culture of over-consumption? Advent and Christmas are seasons of embodiment for us to enter into the story of God coming close to us… but as the people of God, is this in conflict with holiday shopping, gift-giving, snow globes, and Christmas trees?
In the special episode, Caleb is joined with his wife, Emily, as they have a conversation about Christmas, Consumption, and Creation Care.
Rev. Emily JoAnn Haynes is a church planter, pastor, ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, and certified enneagram practitioner. She is passionate about embodying theology in life and exploring fresh new expressions of the gospel for today. She serves as the Lead Pastor for Kaleo Nashville Church of the Nazarene in Nashville, TN, and is on the advisory board for Praxis at Nazarene Theological Seminary. She's writing her thoughts out on Substack these days using the handle @irreverantreverend and she also is a mother and wife, Airbnb host, professional volunteer and she has the best friends anyone could ask for.
