If I’m to take seriously the call of Jesus to be Salt and Light, then something “in” me has to be ready. Throughout the Bible, we see God working in the life, the hearts and the minds of his people, including Jesus. God works “in” them first and then “through” them.  The key to being Salt & Light is not only our availability but our commitment to seek God first and the inner work He wants to do in us and then allow it to overflow through us.  Ken Pierce continues with pt2 of Everyday Missionaries speaking from Mark 1:32-39.
